ANZUP Idea Generation Workshop – New Zealand
Inaugural New Zealand ANZUP Workshop
'Kia Kaha - Putting the NZ in ANZUP’
Friday 12 September 2025
QT Auckland
On Friday 12 September 2025, we will be holding our inaugural New Zealand ANZUP Workshop – ‘Kia Kaha – Putting the NZ in ANZUP’ in Auckland. The purpose of this one-day workshop will be to bring together cancer clinicians, researchers, health system leaders, industry partners, and patient representatives to explore how New Zealand’s unique healthcare and clinical trials environment can create cancer clinical trials that both succeed locally and are scalable across Australia. The session will identify distinctive enablers within New Zealand’s system and how they can contribute to a trans-Tasman approach to trial design, recruitment, and implementation. We expect trials that would be suitable for a New Zealand context could also add Australian sites but aware there may be context specific challenges that may be worthy of discussion. We also hope there are also excellent translational research ideas that could be presented to advance our understanding of urogenital cancers from a Trans-Tasman lens.
