ANZUP GU Cancer Rapid Fire Program
OVERVIEW
The ANZUP GU Cancer Rapid Fire is a multidisciplinary educational program. It has been developed to facilitate further understanding of contemporary oncology management through advances in clinical trials and will cover landmark clinical trials in GU cancer, whilst providing mentorship from experts in the field. The program has been designed to offer trainees and junior consultants’ insight into the evolution of GU cancer management and evidence behind contemporary clinical practice.
EVENT DETAILS
In 2023, the ANZUP GU Cancer Rapid Fire Program was held on 24-25 November at The Como Hotel in Melbourne. Co-convened by Dr Andrisha Inderjeeth and Dr Ciara Conduit, and supported by mentors including Prof Ian Davis, Dr Anna Kuchel, A/Prof Haryana Dhillon, Prof Dickon Hayne, A/Prof Andrew Weickhardt, A/Prof Chris Oldmeadow, Dr Carole Harris and Prof Shankar Siva, alongside special guest A/Prof Fiona Maclean, the event drew close to 50 participants.
Notably, we welcomed attendees from attendees from the Asia Pacific region beyond Australia and New Zealand. We hope this is the first of many ANZUP events with more diverse representation from the APAC region.
