Best of GU Oncology Evening Symposium 2018
Food for thought was on the menu at the Best of GU Evening Symposium, held in Brisbane on the 14th November. Brisbane’s GU oncology community dined out on the latest in uro-oncology, radiation oncology, medical oncology, nuclear medicine and exercise physiology from experts in the field.
Symposium Chair Dr Henry Woo hosted a line-up as engaging as it was diverse, covering the latest in GU treatment, research results through to patient physiology and psychology.
The evening commenced with analysis of the latest research in kidney cancer with Dr Craig Gedye before moving to the benefits of resistance training for men with prostate cancer with Dr Tim Hartwig. A/Prof Michael Hofman took the symposium through a visual exploration of theranostics and results seen in the TheraP trial before Venu Chalasani took us on a virtual journey of treatment and clinical trials through the patient’s eyes.
Thank you to the presenters, all who attended the Best of GU symposium in person or virtually via the webinar and to sponsors Astellas and AstraZeneca.
